The Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internships
This is a list of the 102 Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internships offered for summer 2025. Please note: the deadline for 2025 Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internships at Getty has passed. Internships are grouped by the geographic area of the host organization and listed alphabetically within each section. Each entry includes a position description and application information. To learn more about a host, click the organization name to visit their website. To apply, submit an application to the host organization. Please note that Getty will update the availability of positions as they are filled. All positions will be filled by May 1, so submit your application as soon as possible.
California African American Museum (CAAM) Gallery Service Assistant
Looking for a hands-on role in the arts? The California African American Museum is hiring Gallery Services Assistants (USC Work Study Only) to welcome patrons, provide exhibition information, assist with events, and support gallery educators. Job Details: Hourly Rate: $18.00. Duties: Reception, gallery monitoring, event support, administrative tasks. Qualifications: Strong communication skills, interest in art or history a plus!

Torrenance Art Museum Assistant Preparator
This volunteer position supports the museum’s preparatory department staff in the de/installation of exhibitions. They play an important role in the preparation of gallery walls for installation, maintaining cleanliness, organization, and facilities maintenance. Requirements: Familiar and safe handling of basic tools. Good at following directions. Ability to stand and perform physical tasks for 3 hours. Position can involve climbing up ladders and lifting up to 50lbs.
Torrenance Art Museum Docent
This volunteer position is the first point of contact for museum visitors and general public. They help field a variety of inquiries and provide information about the exhibitions, programs, and services presented by the museum. They ensure that attendance to the museum is tracked and that visitors sign in and adhere to museum policies. Requirements: Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with culturally diverse audiences. Work well with public. Ability to sit for 3 hours. Commit to 2 shifts per month while exhibits are open.
LACMA Education
Part-Time Assistant
Reporting to the Director of Youth & Family Programs, the Education Assistant supports the Education & Public Program Department’s vision that everyone has access to art by providing outstanding customer service, welcoming intergenerational audiences to the museum, inviting LA County youth to join the museum’s free youth membership program, engaging with program participants of all ages in art-making activities and classes, and issuing museum entrance tickets to NexGenLA families. The expected hourly pay for this Los Angeles, CA-based position is $19.50.
USC Museums Student Educator Program
In this program students will be trained to facilitate conversations in the galleries and lead tours of both the permanent collection and special exhibitions at USC PAM and Fisher. They will learn to engage visitors of all ages and backgrounds with the museums’ diverse works of art.
This is a paid program and is open to all undergraduate students. We are prioritizing those who are Work-Study eligible. We are looking for students in all majors/departments with a strong interest in learning about or knowledge of Asian arts and cultures and contemporary art. This is a great opportunity for students who are interested in learning about the museum field. Applications are due May 25
Craft Contemporary Getty Marrow Undergraduate Community Engagement Internship
The Getty Marrow Community Engagement Internship at Craft Contemporary provides hands-on experience in public engagement for a multigenerational audience, focusing on educational experiences and program coordination for diverse community initiatives. Reporting to the creative director & curator and the director of education, the Community Engagement Intern will actively participate in the research, development, and implementation of these community-centered, hands-on programs. This opportunity offers undergraduate students a unique chance to learn and gain first-hand experience as part of the programming and education team at a vibrant museum with a rich history in Los Angeles.
This is a full-time, on-site, 10-week summer position (June 16 – August 22, 2025) with hourly compensation, reporting directly to the Directors. The application deadline is April 11th, 2025.

Craft Contemporary Getty Marrow Undergraduate Curatorial Internship
Craft Contemporary is seeking a detail-oriented individual to serve as its next Getty Marrow Curatorial
Intern as part of the Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internship program. The Getty Marrow Curatorial
Internship at Craft Contemporary offers an immersive experience in supporting exhibition research,
planning, art-handling, and exhibition-related program coordination for upcoming exhibitions scheduled in 2025 and 2026. Reporting to the Senior Curator, the curatorial intern will have the opportunity to actively participate in studio visits, conduct field research, and engage in team meetings, providing a
comprehensive view of the curatorial process.
This is a full-time, on-site, 10-week summer position (June 16 – August 22, 2025) with hourly compensation, reporting directly to the Directors. The application deadline is April 11th, 2025.

Volunteer at Piece by Piece
An arts-based non-profit social enterprise in South Los Angeles, Piece by Piece offers free mosaic workshops to local residents who have experienced economic insecurity, trauma/loss, as well as veterans. Their mission is to provide the opportunity of supplemental income and creative wellness through mosaic art to residents of South Los Angeles.
As a Piece by Piece volunteer you will join a community that is dedicated to creating opportunities for our participants. They are in need of support in the following areas: Sale of participant artwork at pop-up shops, workshop set-up and clean-up, community event support, data entry, Social Media support, and photographing artwork.
USC Pacific Asia Museum (PAM) Getty Marrow Undergraduate Collections Internship
The Collections Management Intern will receive training on art handling techniques and
skills needed to perform daily tasks in the department related to permanent collection,
permanent galleries, temporary exhibitions, incoming and outgoing loans and any ongoing
departmental projects.
